By Train
Our local station is Bomal, midway between Liege and Marloie (near Marche-en-Famennes), and just a few kilometres from Grand Bru. If you would like to come here by train, please let us know in advance and we will be happy to pick you up.
If you are travelling from or through Brussels, the usual route is via Liege (gare de Liege-Guillemins), but some connections also change in Marloie.
If you arrive from Germany (via Aachen) or from eastern Netherlands (Maastricht), you must change in Liege-Guillemins.
Intercity trains from the south (Luxembourg and France) pass through Marloie, where you change for Bomal.
By Car
From Liège: take the exit from the motorway E 25 at Werbomont, follow the signs for “Ferrières” and then “Burnontige” and “Fays”. Before entering “Fays” you take the road on your right hand, which leads you down into a valley. After a curve going to the left you will come to an intersection, follow the signs for “Villers-Ste-Gertrude” and “Grand Bru”. We are at the end of the little hamlet “Grand Bru”: You will see a farm on the right hand side, with a big pink flowerpot outside. After this, a small path goes down on the right (barely visible because hidden by the trees), just before the road turns to the right at an intersection. Our house is at the end of this dead end.
From Durbuy: Drive from Villers-Ste-Gertrude to Grand Bru, follow the street sign for “Grand Bru” (the GPS will try to guide you up on the hill – don’t follow it!). You pass a campsite called “Grand Bru” (left). Stay on the road and after a bend (left – there is an intersection, you stay on the road on the left), you see a brick house. After this house, a small path goes down on the left (barely visible because hidden by the trees). Our house is at the end of this dead end.
